FOR CHURCHES
In 1983, the “Friday for Christ” evangelism campaign was launched in Helsinki. It brought together hundreds of Christians to spread the gospel in many different ways in the Helsinki metropolitan area. Contrary to many doubts, the activities continued year after year and eventually expanded into a significant mission organization operating on three different continents, Asia, Africa and Europe.
It all started with a vision given by the Holy Spirit. It showed that nothing is impossible when you set out on your work dependent on God’s power and help.
The mission organization One Way Mission was born completely out of nothing and grew without any financial support or help from any denomination or state.
Everything that One Way Mission founder Tapani Suonto has experienced over the decades is possible for anyone and anywhere. Even a small person can have a strong impact even on the other side of the world when they set out in the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit.

															MOTIVATION
Tapani Suonto says:
“For decades, I have observed the enormous needs and opportunities in evangelism and mission work that remain untapped for one reason only: church leaders often lack the contacts, knowledge, and confidence to step forward to be a greater blessing both in their own city and in distant mission fields.
They must be helped! When I prayed about this challenging problem, I received an
answer.
It is “FIN.”
NETWORK
FIN also connects intercessors and funders. By networking widely, we can make a significant contribution to world evangelization.
This is not a new organization, but a network. In this network, every missionary, evangelist, pastor and congregation can gain a lot without losing anything and can be a blessing and help to Christian brothers and sisters in their own community and even in different parts of the world.
															GOAL
To multiply the evangelistic work carried out by congregations in their own communities and missionary work abroad. The mission field begins in one's own hometown - therefore, work in one's own city is also missionary work for us.
WHAT WE DO
We create a contact surface between active Christians, missionaries, evangelists and Western pastors, organizations, funders and intercessors. We support local congregations to achieve spiritual growth and discipleship. We give congregations tools and resources to develop and launch their own local evangelistic work.
We enable more concrete help for evangelistic and missionary work. We organize missions and other events both at home and abroad to spread the gospel. Each party can participate in them according to their capabilities and in the way they want.
THEOLOGICAL PRINCIPLES
FIN represents the traditional gospel of the cross – not prosperity theology or other new theological trends.
FIN represents the traditional gospel of the cross - not new theological trends.
Participants in the network commit to respecting the theological guidelines of each congregation and mission organization. Each community can trust that cooperation will not create new conflicts within its own community, but that FIN will be a blessing to everyone.
															HOW TO JOIN
FIN is not an organization, but a cooperation network that offers various opportunities to get help with your own work and to give help to others when it is possible and constructive for your own activities. By leaving your contact information, you can get more detailed information about various needs and opportunities in your home country and in the mission fields.
FIN is happy to receive requests for help and suggestions from congregations for implementing various missions and other events. We cannot respond to all needs immediately, but we take them into account and prayerfully seek opportunities to respond. Our intention is only to help. You can contact us using the form below.
WHAT DOES THIS OBLIGATE?
Fishermen´s International Network is an independent network that serves congregations free of charge and on each person’s own terms. There are no financial commitments or obligations associated with participation. Our goal is simply to help! When we help you, you can help many times over those who need help the most – in Finland and around the world.
FUNDING
Our task is to build a reliable contact surface between different actors. Donors are one significant link in this network. FIN channels funds to where the need is greatest.
FIN needs funding to maintain its own communication machinery and organize various missions. For this purpose, Fishermen´s International Network has obtaining collection permits to cover the needs of its operations from the Finnish National Police Board, which also monitors the use of funds. All surplus funds are used to support missionary work.
