on Spain’s Costa del Sol Over 30,000 Finns live on the Spanish Costa del Sol in winter. Many work remotely there, but a large number are also spending their retirement days. In a foreign country, they are very open to discussing Christianity and hearing what Jesus could give them. 
There are also many Finns with substance abuse problems living in Fuengirola, who are in deep crisis in a foreign country and desperately need God’s help.

FIN is organizing a mission to Fuengirola together with the home church of the Costa del Sol and the Lutheran church. Many Christian organizations from Finland are involved. Fuengirola is an exceptional city in Spain, because due to the great number of Finnish residents it is possible to operate in Finnish only. Those who are fluent in the language can also reach Spaniards and other nationalities, who are also easily found.

The Fuengirola mission is going ahead in March. For the mission to succeed and bear good fruit, it now needs much prayer. The mission can be a great blessing both for the people in Fuengirola and for the local churches there, as well as for those who go to Spain to share about Christ.
