In 1983, the \u201cFriday for Christ\u201d evangelism campaign was launched in Helsinki. It brought\ntogether hundreds of Christians to spread the gospel in many different ways in the Helsinki\nmetropolitan area. Contrary to many doubts, the activities continued year after year and\neventually expanded into a significant mission organization operating on three different\ncontinents, Asia, Africa and Europe.<\/p>

It all started with a vision given by the Holy Spirit. It showed that nothing is impossible\nwhen you set out on your work dependent on God\u2019s power and help.<\/p>

The mission organization One Way Mission was born completely out of nothing and grew\nwithout any financial support or help from any denomination or state.<\/p>

Everything that One Way Mission founder Tapani Suonto has experienced over the\ndecades is possible for anyone and anywhere. Even a small person can have a strong\nimpact even on the other side of the world when they set out in the guidance and power of\nthe Holy Spirit.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

\u201cFor decades, I have observed the enormous needs and opportunities in evangelism and\nmission work that remain untapped for one reason only: church leaders often lack the\ncontacts, knowledge, and confidence to step forward to be a greater blessing both in their\nown city and in distant mission fields.<\/i><\/p>

They must be helped! When I prayed about this challenging problem, I received an\nanswer.

This is not a new organization, but a network. In this network, every missionary, evangelist,\npastor and congregation can gain a lot without losing anything and can be a blessing and\nhelp to Christian brothers and sisters in their own community and even in different parts of\nthe world.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

To multiply the evangelistic work carried out by congregations in their own communities\nand missionary work abroad. The mission field begins in one's own hometown - therefore,\nwork in one's own city is also missionary work for us.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

WHAT WE DO<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We create a contact surface between active Christians, missionaries, evangelists and\nWestern pastors, organizations, funders and intercessors. We support local congregations\nto achieve spiritual growth and discipleship. We give congregations tools and resources to\ndevelop and launch their own local evangelistic work.<\/p>

We enable more concrete help for evangelistic and missionary work. We organize\nmissions and other events both at home and abroad to spread the gospel. Each party can\nparticipate in them according to their capabilities and in the way they want.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Participants in the network commit to respecting the theological guidelines of each\ncongregation and mission organization. FIN is not an organization, but a cooperation network that offers various opportunities to\nget help with your own work and to give help to others when it is possible and constructive\nfor your own activities. There are no financial commitments or\nobligations associated with participation. Our goal is simply to help! Our task is to build a reliable contact surface between different actors. Donors are one\nsignificant link in this network. FIN channels funds to where the need is greatest.<\/p>

FIN needs funding to maintain its own communication machinery and organize various\nmissions. For this purpose, Fishermen\u00b4s International Network has obtaining collection\npermits to cover the needs of its operations from the Finnish National Police Board, which\nalso monitors the use of funds. All surplus funds are used to support missionary work.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
